Alan is a Trainer at IMS Learning Solutions, assisting in the delivery of pharmaceutical simulations and training programs in the UK. He has extensive experience of coaching and leadership in the pharmaceutical industry, gained from roles managing large multi-cultural and multidisciplinary teams and projects across Europe and the UK.
During a career spanning 16 years in major pharmaceutical corporations in the UK and internationally, Alan has addressed leading issues in sales & sales management, sales force structure and sizing, segmentation and targeting, product launches, marketing, account management, contract negotiation and sales force effectiveness. Prior to joining IMS as a full time and latterly freelance trainer, Alan spent 2 years as international sales force effectiveness manager for a leading global organisation. More recently he was a Regional Account Director with Takeda Pharmaceuticals in the UK with full P&L responsibility for his involvement in implementing their unique and innovative approach to working with the UK National Health Service.
Scottish by birth, Alan still lives on the West coast of Scotland, near Glasgow.
